WILD SPIRITS OF THE FOREST Grey Wolf Exhibit
Thank you for your interest in purchasing an engraved rock. The proceeds from the purchase of these rocks will go toward the construction of an exciting new exhibit entitled "Wild Spirits of the Forest". This 1.2 acre exhibit will feature the grey wolf, Canis lupus. A beautiful north woods habitat is being designed with a gently flowing creek, two ponds and a 20ft x 30ft trapper's cabin. Viewing of the wolves will be from the trapper's cabin which will depict the life of a trapper in the 1800's.
Grey wolves were once prevalent; found throughout Canada and the northern United States. Wolves play a vital role in nature; it is important to save predators in ecosystems to ensure a healthy balance. Many myths still surround wolves, our hopes at the Red River Zoo is to encourage an appreciation for this magnificent animal and aid in their protection.
Your engraved rock will become a permanent part of the exhibit, lining the pathways to the viewing areas.
Thank you for supporting this exciting new project.
