PART-TIME ANIMAL KEEPER POSITIONS

The Red River Zoo is presently seeking candidates for part-time animal keepers for the 2008 season.

Major responsibility of the Animal Keeper is to provide daily care and implement propagation and maintenance programs for the animal collection at the Red River Zoo. Additional responsibilities include public interaction and supervision of volunteers working with live animals.

Comprehensive knowledge and experience with a wide variety of animals including: mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates needed. Also must exhibit a willingness to interact positively with the zoo’s guests and volunteers. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to lift and carry fifty pounds.
