The first 1,000 visitors to the Sierra Club booth in the carousel
pavilion will receive a FREE tree seedling. Plant it in your yard and
watch it grow!
Pick up your Earth Day pledge card, located in areas throughout the
zoo, to see the easy ways you can help the earth every day!
Animal Observation Skills Scavenger Hunt: pick up your check list at
the admissions desk and see if you can find the animals making their
home in the Memorial Butterfly Garden located across from the goats!
Throughout the Day
Head out to the carousel pavilion and visit with organizations helping
the environment in the Fargo-Moorhead community!
Activities
A variety of earth friendly activities will be set up near or inside the
carousel pavilion!
Make a Toad Abode, Supermarket Sweep, Recycled Papermaking, Bagel Bird Feeders
Special Presentations
The presentations marked with * require a ticket, as space and supplies are
limited. Tickets will be given out in the gift shop and are FREE!
Schedule of Events
12:00pm - Gates Open
1:00-1:30pm - Tree planting ceremony - located outside the carousel pavilion
2:00pm - 4:00pm Build your own bird house - Join Eagle Scout Chris Barnes and his
team to make a great nesting site for your backyard birds! Located on the plaza
outside the carousel pavilion. (Limit one bird house per family; hammers, nails, and
power drills will be used for this project)
